The Scottish Cancer Foundation Prize and Forrest/Evans Medal for 2022 were awarded to Theofano Tikka, an ENT trainee, for her work on a remote triage tool for patients with symptoms suggestive of head and neck cancer. This was particularly useful during the COVID-19 pandemic when face to face consultations were difficult and hazardous. The prize and medal were collected on Dr Tikka’s behalf by her PhD supervisor, Professor Anja Lowit.
