Mr Alan Hartley currently holds the position of Treasurer for SCF. He is a Chartered Accountant who worked for over 30 years with KPMG; 20 years as a tax partner. Alan has an interesting background having been a professional speedway rider, holds both a UK and US pilots licence and in the early 1980s featured in Cosmopolitan Magazine as one of Scotland’s most eligible bachelors. Nowadays he ‘gets his kicks’ from being the Chairman of the Mactaggart & Mickel Group,  Chairman  of the Scottish Council of Independent Schools and a global director of Mercy Corps, the international aid agency, and is a trustee/director of a number of other charities and pension funds.
